Sijie and Adeline. the evening spent with them was so so fun despite the many “ifs” because of the heavy rain before our session. if something in love that always touches me so much, that would be like the connection between these two – almost a decade yet the bond only grows deeper. lots and lots of teasing, giggles and laughter, but more than that, the absolute care and appreciation towards each other. both of them are independent souls, yet inseparable. it’s that unspeakable tie that makes you one that I hope to make it visible through photographs. and the depth of it can only be shown when you are most comfortable, not rushing to places, not having the changing of attires at the back of your mind for the sake of more photos. most of the time, all we need is that few pieces that really mean something to us.
I had been looking forward to Mingjin & Ching How’s big day. Not just because The White Rabbit is one of my favorite places in Singapore (it really depends on who you are there with, right), it’s because I could not wait to see them again.
the connection was just right from the moment I met these lovely two, it was hard to explain – your gut knows it when your entire body and nerves are comfortable and relaxed though you are talking to people who you literally just met. simple and kind, you never feel left out when you’re with them, and I love the feeling being there like a friend. their special day reflects who they are – the venue was simple but tastefully decorated, and they spent every second they had to make sure every single one’s presence is appreciated. it’s a day filled with genuine blessings and laughter from people who are truly happy for them, the kind of joyful day that would lift the corners of my mouth.
