“What is Home to you?”
Sam & I recently received Jon’s email and he asked us this question. It was something he wanted to know before photographing our wedding this November. Aww, this is why he is our most favourite photographer.
This year Sam & I finally have a small space we can call our home, a space we can rest our hearts, a space to gather our most loved people with home cooked food, a space to grow precious relationships. And this space can only be called home when Sam is in the picture. So I guess I can understand why Jon has the widest grin when he is with Krys. I love the oozing feeling of home when these two are simply standing next to each other. Krys is a girl who loves to laugh and laughs with her entire body. Really, you have to see how blissful she laughs, that will cheer you up every single time. I have no doubt that her laughter is always missed by Jon.
It took me the longest five months before sharing with you Jon & Krys’s day, because I could not find words – words are just too pale – to fully describe what Sam & I had experienced that day. All that have been lingering in our heads are overwhelming waves of emotions. Overwhelming and overwhelming of laughters and tears, from all the simple and genuine people there whose presence have lightened up every single corner of that space. I think, I’ll just let the photos tell you the rest of the story.
ps: it wasn’t easy to photograph your idol photographer’s wedding! (laughs) This story is only possible to be this detailed because Sam & I were telling it together. Photographed by Sam (from Samuel Goh Photography) and myself 🙂
